The "Sluis" is the first by Martin Visser designed Sofa Bed. The sofa consist of a flat seating area and a tiltable backrest.
It is a fairly rare piece and it was produced only for two years (1956-1957). In 1958 it was replaced by model "Nieuw Sluis" and this model was replaced in 1960 by the iconic model BR02 and BR03.
This one is reupholstered with a wool boucle fabric.
